New Club Enquiry

Thinking of joining the OYFL? New Club Enquiry is the first step for clubs that are not currently members of the League.

The enquiry form is available from 1 October each season. All new clubs must complete the enquiry process before progressing to formal Club Entry.

Existing OYFL member clubs do not need to complete a New Club Enquiry and should use the Club Entry process instead.

WHO CAN JOIN THE OYFL?

  • The club must be affiliated to a County FA.
  • The club must have current insurance cover, including public liability and player accident cover, as required by the FA.
  • The club must be England Football Accredited, or commit to achieving accreditation before the end of its first season in the League.
  • Teams being entered must be grassroots teams rather than academy teams. The exception is Girls' RTC teams entering on instruction from the FA.
  • Club officers, team officials, players and parents must agree to follow the League Code of Conduct and FA Respect requirements.
  • The club must agree to be bound by League Rules approved at the League AGM.
  • The club must send up to two representatives to the League AGM, usually held in June. Failure to attend means the new-club application will be rejected.
  • Entry is subject to election into membership by existing member clubs by simple majority.
